Linter was founded in 1988 by professionals with large experience and knowledge in information systems related to the industrial area.
At the time of its foundation, the company’s flagship was the CIMMRP II, a system focused on material planning, developed under the concepts of MRP (Material Requirements Planning). In the early versions, the CIMMRP II managed the entire flow related to Production Planning and Control, Purchasing, Costs and Material Receiving.
Evolving according to the customers’ needs, the CIMMRP II was embracing new financial and accounting modules along the time until it turns into an ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning).
However, even after all these years of evolution, many questions had never been properly answered by the MRP philosophy, most of them because of the simplistic assumption that there is infinite capacity inside the factory.
Back to the origin, in 1997 Linter decided to concentrate all the efforts to develop specific solutions focused on planning, scheduling and production control and finally started creating the Drummer APS.
Initially conceived under the concepts of the Theory of Constraints, as a plant scheduling module, the Drummer APS has also evolved, nowadays controlling the entire supply chain of its customers.
Today, Linter offers a comprehensive line of products and services, simple in terms of operation and implementation that allows companies, regardless of their sizes or production processes, to have control on their supply chain.
